Whether you're planning a bee-themed birthday party, learning about pollinators, or just looking for a fun afternoon activity, these printables are sure to create a buzz of creativity.

When I was little, I was endlessly fascinated by bees—tiny creatures with big personalities. I remember reading picture books about beehives, dressing up in yellow and black for Halloween, and even naming our backyard flowers so I could "introduce" them to passing bees.

So creating these bee printables was pure joy! I designed each one with a mix of cute, playful styles and simple shapes that kids of all ages (and even adults!) will love to color. 🐝

🐝 10 Bee Craft Ideas for Kids

1. Toilet Paper Roll Bees

Transform an empty toilet paper roll into an adorable buzzing bee! Paint it yellow with black stripes, then add paper wings and pipe cleaner antennae. Googly eyes and a smile give it extra charm. These are great for pretend play or as cheerful spring decorations.

2. Paper Plate Bee Masks

Cut out the center of a paper plate and paint the outer ring yellow with black stripes. Add two antennae using black pipe cleaners and attach string or elastic to wear it as a mask. Kids can peek through and pretend to fly from flower to flower. It’s perfect for imaginative play or bee-themed parties.

3. Egg Carton Bees

Cut out a row of three egg carton cups to form the bee’s body. Paint them yellow and black, add paper or felt wings, and glue on some googly eyes. Antennae can be made from wire, pipe cleaners, or string. These mini bees are fun to display or turn into hanging mobiles.

4. Fingerprint Bee Art

Dip fingers in yellow paint and press them onto paper to create bee bodies. Once dry, add wings, stripes, and smiley faces with markers. Create a full garden scene with flowers, leaves, and a buzzing trail behind each bee. It’s a cute and simple craft that captures a personal touch.

5. Clothespin Bees

Paint wooden clothespins in yellow and black stripes, then glue on paper or felt wings. Add wiggly eyes and mini pom-poms for extra personality. These can clip onto string for garlands or be used as bookmarks. They’re easy, mess-free, and totally charming!

6. Bee Wand with Wings

Create a buzzing bee wand by attaching a paper or foam bee to a craft stick. Add tissue paper or tulle wings and ribbon streamers for extra flair. Kids can wave them around while pretending to pollinate flowers. This is a perfect movement activity for young children.

7. Bee Hive Cereal Craft

Draw or print a beehive outline on a sheet of paper, then glue on Cheerios or Honeycomb cereal pieces. Add paper bees flying around the hive for a cute 3D effect. It’s great for sensory play and snacking while crafting. You can even turn it into a counting or sorting activity.

8. Pom-Pom Bees

Glue together one large yellow pom-pom with a smaller black one to make the body and head. Add mini wings cut from felt or paper, and small googly eyes. Antennae can be made with thin wire or string. These fuzzy little bees make great tabletop decorations or party favors.

9. Buzzing Bee Paper Puppets

Cut out bee shapes from cardstock or print a template to color in. Glue the bee to a popsicle stick and let kids use them as puppets in a pretend garden show. You can make multiple sizes for a bee family. This is a fun extension activity after reading a bee-themed book!

10. Honeycomb Tissue Paper Craft

Draw a beehive or honeycomb pattern and have kids fill in the cells with yellow and orange tissue paper squares. They can crumple the paper for texture and glue it down to make the hive look full and fluffy. Add a few paper bees flying around to finish the scene. It’s perfect for working on fine motor skills while creating something cute.
